There's something about the word "I" that gives me the ick when running my business, especially in moments like this where I get to announce something I'm personally very proud of. But when it comes down to it, I'm not just proud of me. I'm proud of WE. Because in reality, I'm not sure I've ever been a part of something grand that I did all by myself. I don't think it exists. It takes a village and I couldn't agree more.
When it comes to this announcement, it's no different.
Announcing: Mel's Munchies & Friends Volume 1
Available in the shop to purchase, I recommend the bundle deal!
This hits deep for me because of where it's rooted. Not only is this the FIRST product I get to sell in my e-shop, but it's a success-story of where I've been.
As many of you know, I have a dream of owning my very own food truck. It's definitely still a dream of mine, but practically, it didn't and still doesn't make sense. It's a long story for another day, but we'll get there :) leave a comment and let me know if you want to hear more about that story.
TLDR; My # 1 priority became my full-time wfh job and my priorities changed. I dissolved that business pretty early on because the investment into my family's future is more important to me than the food truck dream. I feel really good about making that decision.
Once I made the decision to move forward from that dream, I filled in my business coach who has supported me week after week for approx. 2 years now. Thank you Kami!
She listened to me talk about how unsure I was about continuing my passion of owning my own creative business. But she held on tight :) She heard me out, and I opened up to what her thoughts were, and I'm so glad she said what she said next.
She reminded me of my dream. She remained grounded in the reality of my situation, which is... I can do this. I can doooooo this. I am doing this.
So, here we are and it feels like I've been typing forever, but I'm really glad to be here typing this out for you to read. I miss typing things out, feeling the time move more slowly because I have to push a thousand buttons, rather than letting one or two clicks to all the work and thinking for me. I still use AI, but the goal is intentionally. Honestly, I wish it wasn't so easy these days.. but alas. In 10 years I'll have better hindsight into how I feel about it now. Let me know what you do in your life to slow down and not need that thing your focused on or creating, to be instant.
Cheers, peace & love,
Melissa
